NEW YORK — In case you missed it, Saritha Komatireddy, candidate for New York Attorney General, released a video following last week’s attack on law enforcement to show you everything that is wrong with law and order in New York and why she is running to unseat Letitia James.

“Criminals feel free to throw things at police because they know there will be no consequences. The police have to just stand there and take it because they know that the politicians don’t have their back. The politicians mischaracterize what happened because they are more devoted to their defund-the-police base than to the public servants who protect them. The attacker turns out to be a previous offender who was released when he should have been in jail. When arrested a second time, the Soros DA downplays the charge.  And the state’s bail laws mandate his release again the same day.

“The right Attorney General would step in, support law enforcement, and enforce the laws. Instead, our state attorney general does nothing and says nothing. The message is clear— attack the police, nothing happens. It is a message that has been in place since she took office, in 2019, when criminals hit police with buckets of water (and in one case a bucket itself), and there were no consequences.

“It doesn’t have to be this way— this November, you can put an end to the years of anti-law-enforcement policies and rhetoric that have led to the humiliation and injury of our police officers and undermined public safety.  You can choose to elect an Attorney General who will have the backs of law enforcement, over one who never has and never will.”
