NEW YORK – Today, Saritha Komatireddy’s campaign for Attorney General announced the endorsement of U.S. Representative for New York’s 17th Congressional District, Mike Lawler. Rep. Lawler serves on the House Financial Services Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Prior to winning his seat in Congress, Rep. Lawler represented New York’s 97th District in the State Assembly.

In his endorsement, Lawler said, “New York deserves an Attorney General who enforces the law—not one who abuses it. Tish James has turned the Attorney General’s office into a partisan weapon and is the most corrupt AG in America. Saritha Komatireddy will restore the trust we need in our judicial system. She’s a principled, tough, and fearless advocate for the rule of law who will restore integrity, accountability, and equal justice to the office. Saritha will end the corruption in Albany, and put New Yorkers first —and I’m proud to endorse her campaign.”

Following this endorsement, Komatireddy said, “I’m honored to receive the support and endorsement of Congressman Lawler. Congressman Lawler has worked tirelessly on behalf of his constituents and our country, and I applaud his efforts to support our law enforcement, crack down on crime, and improve affordability for Hudson Valley taxpayers. Thank you for your continued leadership and for believing in my campaign. As New York’s Attorney General, I will fight every day to make our state safer and stronger.”

Rep. Lawler’s endorsement follows the endorsement of Maggie’s ListFormer U.S. Representative John Faso (NY-19)NHL Star Michael Peca, and his wife Kristin, as well as former New York Attorney General Dennis C. Vacco
