NEW YORK — Former New York Governor George Pataki today endorsed Saritha Komatireddy for New York Attorney General, citing her experience as a federal prosecutor and her commitment to restoring public safety and accountability across New York.

“I had the honor of serving as Governor of New York for 12 years, and I know the challenges facing this state and the kind of leadership it takes to meet them. Saritha Komatireddy has spent her career taking on terrorists, drug cartels, and dangerous criminals as a federal prosecutor. She is tough, experienced, and understands that the Attorney General’s job is to protect New Yorkers and uphold the law — not pursue a political agenda. New York needs a strong, independent Attorney General who will put public safety first, and I am proud to endorse Saritha Komatireddy,” said Governor George Pataki.

Komatireddy thanked Governor Pataki for his support and pointed to his record of leadership in New York.

“Governor Pataki knows what it takes to lead New York, bring people together, and deliver results for the people of this state,” said Saritha Komatireddy. “I am incredibly honored to have his endorsement. As Attorney General, I will bring the same focus on public safety, accountability, and results that New Yorkers deserve from their government.”

Pataki served three terms as Governor of New York from 1995 through 2006. His endorsement adds the support of one of New York’s most prominent Republican leaders to Komatireddy’s growing statewide coalition of law enforcement, elected officials, and community leaders.
