NEW YORK – Crime across New York is up 26% under Letitia James, and now, according to the new Siena Poll, New Yorkers are looking for a new Attorney General.
On the question of whether voters want another term of Letitia James or someone else as Attorney General, James is in a statistical tie, leading just 43%-41%. Notably, James loses with Independents 26%-52%.
Additionally, 53% of New Yorkers believe the state is going in the wrong direction on reducing crime, compared to just 38% who think we are on the right track.
Isabelle Daigle, Saritha Komatireddy’s campaign manager said “New Yorkers deserve an Attorney General who is focused on New York and focused on our safety, and they are not getting that right now. Saritha is prosecuting the political case against Letitia James and this poll shows that she is on track to win in November.”
