NEW YORK – Republican candidate for Attorney General Saritha Komatireddy today challenged Attorney General Letitia James to a statewide series of debates, calling on James to defend her failing record before voters across New York.
Komatireddy proposed debates in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Albany, Binghamton, and New York City, giving voters across New York the opportunity to hear directly from both candidates.
“After two terms as Attorney General, Letitia James has made New York less safe and more expensive. Crime has risen, repeat offenders have been allowed back onto our streets, fraud has continued to cost taxpayers billions, homelessness has skyrocketed, and corruption has gone unchecked. Instead of focusing on the responsibilities of the Attorney General’s office, she has used it to pursue political vendettas and personal ambitions. If Letitia James believes she deserves another term, she should defend that failing record before the people of New York.”
“New Yorkers deserve to hear us debate the issues that matter most: crime, public safety, affordability, corruption, homelessness, mental illness, and the proper role of the Attorney General.”
“I’ve spent this campaign traveling to every corner of New York, meeting with law enforcement officers, crime victims, small business owners, and families. Everywhere I go, I hear the same thing: people want an Attorney General focused on protecting them—not playing politics.”
“I’m ready to stand on any stage, in any city, and defend my vision for restoring professionalism to the Attorney General’s office, partnering with law enforcement, and making New York safer.”
“So today, I’m challenging Letitia James to debate me across New York State. Buffalo. Rochester. Syracuse. Utica. Albany. Binghamton. New York City. New Yorkers deserve to hear directly from both candidates before they cast their ballots.”
